Book Summary: Cinder

Cinder: By Marissa Meyer

Cinder is one of my favorite books ever, by Marissa Meyer. Cinder is a cyborg mechanic living in New Beijing, when the handsome Prince Kai comes to her booth at the market. He wants her to fix an android containing important top secret information. The letumosis plague is spreading rapidly, and Cinder is expected to volunteer for cyborg testing after her stepsister Peony catches it. But doctors realize that Cinder is immune, and she returns home and is paid for her research. She fixes the prince's android, but he is now the emperor since his father died of the same disease that killed Peony. Cinder learns from a direct communication chip she found in Nainsi, Emperor Kai's android, that Queen Levana, the Lunar queen, plots to marry him (supposedly to secure an alliance) and then destroy the world. To warn him before it's to late, she is forced to attend the ball, where the prince SPOILER ALERT! learns some of Cinder's shocking secrets.

New Summary: Raising Dragons

Raising Dragons: By Bryan Davis

Raising Dragons is about Billy, a boy with extraordinary bad breath! When he sets off the fire alarms in school with his “dragon breath,” he learns some amazing truths! First of all, his father was a dragon. Secondly, his principal, Dr. Whittier, is a  dragon slayer! Billy and another dragon kid, Bonnie, must find a way to keep safe. (Bonnie has a “deformity-wings!) When Billy’s father dies, the story gets a bit more serious. The slayers are really determined to end the race of the dragons. There is also a prophecy from the time of Merlin, and Bonnie and Billy could be the children that are described in the riddle. This is a really great book so far.
